How we make money, and what it does not buy.

When a vendor offers an affiliate or referral program, we may earn a small fee if a clinician clicks through one of our links and signs up. We use a single outbound link per tool, marked rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and routed through /go/[slug] for attribution. The link prefers the vendor's affiliate URL when one is configured; otherwise it goes straight to the vendor's website. Either way, the destination is the same product, and nothing about the link influences the rank, the verdict, the pros, or the cons we publish.

Affiliate fees, when they apply, are kept flat across every tool in a category, so the directory has no economic incentive to push one product over another. If a tool drops out of an affiliate program, the listing stays as it is.

Vendors can pay for visibility: a Featured slot on a category page, a Verified badge on their listing, a placement in the newsletter. What they cannot pay for is the verdict, the ranking on a comparison page, the editorial pros and cons, or the HIPAA status we publish. Those stay independent.

A Verified badge means the vendor has claimed the listing and attested to its facts (HIPAA status, pricing) as of a stated date. It is the vendor's statement, surfaced clearly. It is not an endorsement and it does not change rank.

Facts free. Visibility paid. Verdicts never for sale.

That is the line. If a vendor ever asks us to soften a verdict or change a fact in exchange for a payment, the answer is no and the request itself becomes a note on the listing.

We do not take per-vendor variable payouts. That would quietly bias the directory toward the tools that pay the most.

We do not sell your data, run ads against your search, or pass your email to vendors without your action.

We do not handle protected health information. Mytherapist Tools is a directory of software, not a clinical system.
